Grievance Redressal Policy
PCSGMCH is committed to providing a transparent, fair and prompt mechanism for redressal of grievances raised by students, patients, their attendants, employees and other stakeholders. All complaints are treated with confidentiality and without any prejudice.
Student Grievances
Academic Grievances
- Complaints related to examination, internal assessment, or academic process may be submitted in writing to the Dean (Academic) / Principal's Office
- For WBUHS examination-related grievances, students may also approach the university directly at wbuhs.ac.in
Hostel and Amenities
- Hostel complaints: submit to the Hostel Warden in the first instance, then to the Dean of Student Affairs if unresolved

Anti-Ragging
Ragging complaints must be reported immediately to the Anti-Ragging Committee or through the UGC Anti-Ragging Helpline: 1800-180-5522 (toll-free).
Sexual Harassment
Complaints of sexual harassment must be filed with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the POSH Act 2013.
Patient / Attendant Grievances
- Ward-level issues: contact the Nursing Superintendent or duty Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
- Department-level issues: contact the Head of Department
- Hospital administration issues: contact the MSVP (Medical Superintendent) Office
- Written complaints may be dropped in the Complaint Box available at the hospital OPD reception and ward entrances
Employee Grievances
- Teaching and non-teaching staff may raise service-related grievances through the Principal's Office
- Matters relating to pay, service conditions and departmental proceedings are governed by West Bengal government service rules
