About the department
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) provides assessment and comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients with physical disabilities arising from neurological injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and post-surgical conditions. The department adopts a multidisciplinary approach integrating physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and prosthetics.

- Neurorehabilitation — post-stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury
- Post-surgical and post-fracture physiotherapy
- Cerebral palsy and paediatric developmental rehabilitation
- Prosthetics, orthotics and assistive device assessment and provision
- Pain management — back pain, neck pain, sports injuries
- MBBS Phase III PMR posting and MD (PMR) postgraduate training

- Physiotherapy gymnasium with strengthening and conditioning equipment
- Electrotherapy units (IFT, TENS, therapeutic ultrasound, short-wave diathermy)
