About the department
The Department of Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonology) manages diseases of the lungs and airways including tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, interstitial lung diseases and sleep-disordered breathing. Given the high TB burden in West Bengal, the department runs an active DOTS centre and coordinates with the district Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP/NTP).

- Flexible bronchoscopy and BAL for diagnosis
