About the department

The Department of Orthopaedics manages a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal trauma and elective orthopaedic conditions, catering to the high burden of road traffic accidents, agricultural injuries and degenerative joint disease in Arambagh and surrounding districts. Services include fracture fixation, joint replacement, arthroscopy, spine surgery and comprehensive rehabilitation.

Services

Emergency fracture fixation and trauma management
Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) — plate, nail and screw systems
Total knee replacement (TKR) and total hip replacement (THR)
Arthroscopic knee, shoulder and ankle procedures
Spine surgery — discectomy, laminectomy and fusion
MBBS Phase III orthopaedic teaching and MS (Orthopaedics) postgraduate training
