General Conduct
- Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and academic integrity at all times.
- The college identity card must be worn within campus premises and the hospital at all times.
- Attendance requirements as per NMC guidelines (minimum 75% in theory and practical separately) must be fulfilled to be eligible to appear in examinations.
- Use of mobile phones is restricted in classrooms, laboratories, dissection halls and clinical areas.
- Students must dress in appropriate professional attire within the college and hospital.
Anti-Ragging Policy
PCSGMCH maintains a zero-tolerance policy against ragging in any form โ physical, verbal, mental or online. Any act of ragging will be dealt with as per the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, and NMC guidelines. Complaints can be made to the Anti-Ragging Committee or via the National Anti-Ragging Helpline: 1800-180-5522.
Academic Regulations
- The MBBS programme follows the NMC Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum.
- Students must appear in all internal assessments, practical examinations and WBUHS professional examinations.
- Unfair means in any examination will result in disciplinary action as per WBUHS regulations.
- Leave of absence must be formally sanctioned by the concerned Head of Department and the Dean of Student Affairs.
Hospital & Clinical Conduct
- Students must treat all patients, staff and colleagues with dignity and respect.
- Patient confidentiality must be strictly maintained in all clinical interactions.
- Informed consent must be taken and documented before any patient examination or procedure.
- Students must follow universal precautions and infection control protocols in all clinical areas.

Disciplinary Committee
A Disciplinary Committee exists to address student misconduct. Students facing disciplinary proceedings will be given a fair hearing. The decision of the Principal is final in disciplinary matters.
