Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC)
Mandate
The Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) of PCSGMCH is constituted in accordance with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) National Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical and Health Research Involving Human Participants (2017) and Schedule Y of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The IEC reviews and approves all research proposals involving human participants conducted at or under the auspices of PCSGMCH to ensure scientific validity, participant protection, informed consent, and adherence to ethical principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, justice and autonomy.

Research Submission
All faculty members, postgraduate students and research fellows intending to conduct research involving human participants, patient records, biological samples or animals must obtain prior clearance from the IEC. Submit the completed application form with the research protocol to the Member Secretary, IEC.
How to File a Complaint
Complaints may be submitted in writing, by email, or through the online portal. All complaints are treated in strict confidence.
