About the MEU
The Medical Education Unit (MEU) at PCSGMCH is the nodal body responsible for implementing and monitoring the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum mandated by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The MEU coordinates faculty development programmes, internal assessment systems and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Mandate
- Implement the NMC-mandated CBME curriculum across all departments
- Organise faculty development programmes including Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME), Advance Course in Medical Education (ACME) and curriculum implementation support programmes (CISP)
- Coordinate internal assessment and formative evaluation systems
- Conduct and document CME activities for faculty
- Monitor the effective use of teaching–learning methods and assessment tools
- Provide support to departments for curriculum planning and implementation
