About the department
The Department of Radio-Diagnosis provides imaging services across the full spectrum of clinical disciplines, operating round-the-clock for emergency radiology. Equipped with digital X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound and mammography, the department supports accurate diagnosis and patient management for the 594-bed teaching hospital and its large outpatient population.

- Plain radiography — chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal
- CT scan — head, chest, abdomen, spine, CT angiography
- Ultrasonography — abdominal, obstetric, thyroid, small parts, Doppler
- Mammography and breast imaging
- Ultrasound-guided interventions — FNAC, drainage, biopsy
- MBBS Phase III radiology postings and MD (Radio-Diagnosis) PG training

- Digital X-ray units — general OPD and emergency
- Multi-slice helical CT scan with contrast injection facility
- Ultrasound and colour Doppler units (multiple rooms)
